Two New Jersey teens were killed in a car crash when the vehicle they were riding in, split in half on impact.

The accident occurred Sunday morning in Lopatacong Township. Police say the car was heading south on Route 519 when their car crossed over the highway into the other lane and crashed into a pole.

When the car crashed into the pole, police say, it broke in half and kept on moving until it crashed into a second pole. Police suspect they driver may have been speeding at the time of the crash.
