A 24 year old New Jersey woman was driving at 10 PM at night in Washington Township, New Jersey. She was obeying the traffic laws and her driving was not impaired. Out of nowhere, a 45 year old woman shot into the intersection and hit her on the driver’s door. The young woman was airlifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden, a regional trauma center, but tragically died from her injuries at 1:30 AM. Rebecca Haines, of Mt. Laurel, didn’t deserve to die. The other driver, Linda Bianchi, suffered minor injuries and will be prosecuted for vehicular manslaughter by the Camden County (NJ) Prosecutor’s Office. There are over 40,000 deaths each year from auto crashes, that’s over 100 per day. All of them are avoidable if everyone drove more carefully.
