The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has announced that Banquet brand frozen chicken and turkey pot pies can cause samonella poisoning. Look for the F-9 code on the boxes for the ones that have the possible contamination. While the FDA and the CDC are doing more to ensure the safety of our food supply, the food manufacturers have to do more on their end to stop this madness. These recalls are happening too frequently. The manufacturer of Banquet brand pot pies is the well respected company, ConAgra Foods, Inc. The CDC is at their plant now and ConAgra has stopped making the pies today. One method that will get the attention of these manufacturers is for those injured by these products to file lawsuits against them. Perhaps a flurry of lawsuits will force them to pay more attention to product safety.
