On of the purposes of a blog is to allow the author to vent. And vent I will. We continue to import cheap and dangerious goods from China at a record pace. Our trade deficit with China is staggering. And yet the current administration in Washington continues to do whatever it can to cozy up to these Chinese Communists.

Give me a break. The latest horror story vested upon our country’s children is that at least 4 million kid’s braclets, the kind kids buy in a mall and cost a quarter, have been recalled because the paint has high levels of lead. They were sold from November, 2005 until last month. If you are a parent, throw them out. If you are a teacher, day care supervisor, or health care provider please alert everyone. The recall was ordered by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects. You can learn more about lead paint problems at the government’s EPA website, www.epa.gov/lead/. You can also call the National Lead Information Center at 800.244.LEAD for more information.
