Authorities in Rhode Island have suspended the operating priviledges of Dr. Frederick Harrington for operating on the wrong side of a patient’s brain. The mistake is most likely the cause of the patient’s ultimate death. This is the third time in six years that a surgeon operated on the wrong side.
