By now, we’ve all heard something or other about Dr. Scott Reuben, the well respected and highly influential clinical researcher who, as it turns out, fabricated the data used in a full twenty one drug studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
The studies, for which Reuben was handsomely paid by the drug companies, promoted the safety and efficacy of drugs like Pfizer’s Bextra, Merck’s Vioxx, Lyrica, Celebrex and Effexor—many of which have since proved dangerous (and even fatal), and some of which have been pulled from the market.
NaturalNews.com recently published a complete listing of the studies Reuben fabricated. Reading through it is absolutely maddening. Now that peer-reviewed medical journals are out, what sources can we truly trust for valid information about prescription drugs?
