California Ban Teens From Talking on Cell Phones While Driving – All States Should Ban Use By Everyone

Comments Off

It is time all states adopted New Jersey’s lead and banned all cell phone use while driving. More and more car crashes are caused by driver inattention. California has just banned cell phone use by driver’s under 18. They join 15 states and the District of Columbia in banning the use of wireless communication devices for teenage drivers. Nearly a dozen other states are considering similar action, according to the American Automobile Association. The California Highway Patrol statistics confirm the obvious and found that cell phone use is a primary cause of accidents caused by distracted drivers. A Ford Motor Co. study said teens are four times more likely to be distracted than adults by cell phone use.
